COMMUNITY
ATTRACTIONS

ockland is an exciting coastal
town with a growing arts community. The recent growth of the
Farnsworth Art Museum
with its new Wyeth Center has drawn many new galleries to the
downtown area. Local restaurants, both in
Rockland and
the surrounding communities, offer traditional New England seafood
as well as a variety of ethnic cuisine. Rockland's waterfront,
home to the largest windjammer fleet on the east coast, is also
the site of several summer festivals, including the
Lobster
Festival,
Schooner Days and the
North Atlantic Blues Festival.
Communities like
Camden,
Rockport and Owls Head, only a short drive from Bartlett
Woods also offer a number of cultural, educational and recreational
attractions. The annual Camden Conference brings people together
from around the country to discuss international affairs; the
Owls Head Transportation Museum
has
a world-class collection of vehicles and other transportation
artifacts; and the
Samoset
Resort in Rockport has one of the most beautiful golf courses
in New England.
